One of those things you think would never happen, but it did! My one year old storage hard drive gave up on life and decided to put a rest to its spinning days. Sadly lots of very important data are gone, including lots of pictures, both persoanl and roaches related. The whole thing forced me to delay the post of more articles and photos. I’m really upset about it, but I guess it’s also my fault, I think I heard of that thing called backup but I guessed I put to much faith on my hard drives.

The moral of this story is…BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP!

Too many things going on at the same time, hopefully in the next few days I’ll be able to focus on this website. I’m still writing more articles, taking pictures, dealing with the heat. It’s quite hot, probably 102-104, no A/C in the house, the pc is blowind hot air! What else can I say, I’m evaporating.

I’m not sure if this is one of those things that are part of common knowledge or not but the Postal Service managed to convert a perfectly working, state of the art, computer into a piece of junk!
Yes, I had my beloved computer mailed to me, after waiting for it for almost two months, yeah big surprise the mail system is slow :-\ , finally arrived…to its end! Of course I insured it, but that doesn’t change the fact that when you’re waiting for a package you don’t really expect it to arrived like they stomped on it, or that you should spend your time in that awfull process of insurance claim. Anyway, I had the feeling that something bad would happen to it but after many deliveries with no worries you start thinking that you are not part of that n% of customers that have their parcel damaged during … (more…)
